Chelsea set to offload out-of-favour pair for £80m to sign Jadon Sancho

Chelsea are planning to offload two unwanted players during the summer transfer window to raise fund for Dortmund forward Jadon Sancho.

With the coronavirus pandemic hitting teams financially around Europe, the Blues are hoping to cash in on Alvaro Morata and Tiemoue Bakayoko with the Daily Express reporting they want to bank close to £80million for the out-of-favour duo.

Both players are out on loan this campaign and the West London club want to move them on permanently during the summer transfer window to raise funds and lure former Man City forward at Stamford Bridge.

The 20-year-old forward will cost around £120million, however, if the Blues can bank some cash with the quick sales of Alvaro Morata and Bakayoko they will hope to hijack Man Utd move for the Dortmund star. Bakayoko has been out of favour at Stamford Bridge since the arrival from AS Monaco as he has already two loan spells in three years at the club at AC Milan and AS Monaco.

Chelsea striker Morata’s future is all but resolved and the 27-year-old likely to remain at Atletico Madrid for the next season.

The Spain international has managed to found back of the net 24 times in 72 games for the West London club after joining from Real Madrid back in 2017 and after the deal was drawn up last summer Frank Lampard’s side are just waiting for Atletico to sign off on the transfer.

“We would like to thank Alvaro for his contribution and wish him the best of luck for the future,” Chelsea said in a statement on their official website last July.
