Deal On: Chelsea to offer Tomori plus £35m in massive swap deal to complete signing of £68m-rated top defender

According to several reports, Chelsea are now reportedly set to complete a massive swap deal to sign Declan Rice which will also see Fikayo Tomori join West-Ham.

Chelsea have been huge admirers of former academy player Declan Rice and the Blues boss Frank Lampard is keen to bring the player to the club so as to solve his defensive issues. Chelsea will now look to agree a swap deal by offering Tomori in order to sign Declan Rice from West-Ham.

However, Declan Rice is likely to cost Chelsea a fee in the region of £68million but with Chelsea offering Fikayo Tomori, the Blues will be able to sign Declan for a lesser fee.

21-year old Declan Rice has performed brilliantly since being moved to Central defence and he is also considered to be one of the brightest talents to have broken out from England. No doubt, his arrival will add much quality to Chelsea as he is a hugely talented player.

If Chelsea are able to complete the swap deal, it will be a huge risk as Chelsea will be letting go of Fikayo Tomori and also playing Declan Rice as a defender may not go as planned for Frank Lampard.

However, Rice is a player of great promise and the times he has played as a defender, he has performed excellently and Chelsea will be getting a real gem in Declan Rice. Frank Lampard needs to improve his defence and the signing of Declan Rice will be a step in the right direction for the Blues.a
