Chelsea turn attention to sign £80m star as Ziyech replacement, as Blues confirms player’s transfer

According to Leicestershire Live via CaughtOffside, the Blues are interested in signing Leicester City star James Maddison.

The report claims the Blues will join Arsenal in the race for Maddison’s signature this summer, if Hakim Ziyech leaves Chelsea.

The Moroccan international has been reportedly linked with a Chelsea exit this summer after falling down the pecking order under Thomas Tuchel.

Leicester City are expected to demand for a fee closer to £80million, taking advantage of Maddison’s long-term contract, which isn’t set to expire until 2024.

Blues confirms player’s transfer

Chelsea have officially confirmed Fikayo Tomori’s permanent transfer to AC Milan.

The Blues have confirmed Tomori will complete a permanent transfer from Chelsea to AC Milan on 1 July after a deal was agreed by both clubs.

Tomori joins AC Milan on a permanent deal from Chelsea for €28.5m and signing a five year contract with the Italian club.

Tomori played 22 games for AC Milan last season following his January loan move, helping them to secure Champions League qualification with a third-place finish in Serie A, as well as reaching the last 16 of the Europa League and Coppa Italia quarter-finals. His only goal came in a crucial 3-0 league win over Juventus in May.

The Chelsea Academy graduate had been with the Blues since Under-8s level and made 27 first-team appearances for the club in total, scoring two senior goals.
