Chelsea want to sign box-to-box Premier League star after deciding to let Jorginho leave

According to latest reports, It has been claimed that Chelsea are looking at possibly signing Yves Bissouma after reportedly deciding to let Jorginho leave the club

Jorginho has enjoyed a superb couple of years for club and country, starring in Chelsea’s Champions League win and Italy’s European Championships triumph in 2021, with his performances earning him a Ballon d’Or nomination.

However, there has been alot of speculation that he could depart the club at the end of the season, and a move back to Italy has been mooted for the midfielder, meaning that Thomas Tuchel would need an immediate replacement.

And it has been claimed that Chelsea have decided that they will not hand Jorginho that new contract, with his current deal running out at the end of 2023, and would rather sell him this transfer window, then let him leave for nothing.

And that has led to constant reports in the media which have suggested that Chelsea are very much interested in a possible deal for the impressive Bissouma

Meanwhile, Recent reports have claimed that despite the fact Brighton want to keep hold of the midfielder – they cannot stop him from leaving if he wants to go and will accept a fee of around £30M in the window

Now, according to reports, Chelsea will open talks with Bissouma about a move to Stamford Bridge once the takeover of the club is announced – and Jorginho has left the club

Jorginho has been a big part of the club – but it has been claimed that Chelsea believe he no longer wants to be at the club and will allow him to return to Italian football

Bissouma is gifted in a technical sense, but it’s his positional awareness and tenacity that truly elevates him to the status of one of the best in the country right now. He is a tidy passer of the ball that has the ability to run box-to-box
