Chelsea ‘will make an offer’ for 299-goal striker at Stamford Bridge – report

According to transfer source Dean Jones, Chelsea will make a move for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and may make a bid for him soon.

The Barcelona striker is frequently mentioned in connection with a move to Stamford Bridge, where he might re-team with Thomas Tuchel, his former boss.

The Telegraph claims that Chelsea will increase their pursuit of Aubameyang.

According to the tabloid, Barcelona values the 33-year-old at £21 million, and the west London club is willing to pay half of that amount.

Although Tuchel did not explicitly state that Chelsea was interested in Aubameyang, the Blues manager had nothing but positive things to say about the former Borussia Dortmund player on Friday.

“I enjoyed working with him a lot,” Tuchel said. “It was a pleasure. Some players stay your players because you work very very close, Auba is one of these players. We had a very close relationship.”

Jones expects Todd Boehly to make a real attempt to sign Aubameyang before the transfer window closes.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the journalist said: “I think Chelsea will give this a try. I think they’ll do it pretty soon as well. They’ll gauge it and they’ll make an offer, and I think they’ll just really want to do that to see whether this is a dead end or if there is room for negotiation to actually sign Aubameyang.”
