Chelsea’s top three possible summer signings with the new ownership revealed
Chelsea are going closer to completing their new acquisition after Todd Boehly was named the favored bidder to take over as the new club owner very soon on Friday.
Chelsea are quite likely to make some significant acquisitions in the summer to rebuild the team as they try to start a new era under their prospective new owner from next season, with a slew of senior players leaving the club in the summer.
In a recent interview, Thomas Tuchel also said that he will be ready for the summer transfer window to identify the players he wants to sign for the club whenever they are allowed to do so following the new takeover.
We’d also like to take a look at the top three players that could join Chelsea this summer.
After a failed transfer last summer, Kounde could finally join Chelsea this summer.
1. Jules Kounde: With Antonio Rudiger set to leave Chelsea in the summer after announcing his intention to leave for free after failing to renew his contract, the Blues will be looking for a suitable replacement. According to reports, Jules Kounde has been identified as the favorite player to replace Rudiger from next season, as he is finally ready to leave Sevilla after failing to do so last summer.
2. Wesley Fofana: Chelsea has identified Leicester City star defender Fofana as one of their top summer targets as they seek to replace Andreas Christensen, who will leave the club for free in the summer after agreeing to join Barcelona at the conclusion of the season.
The French defender has been a standout in Leicester City’s defense, and Manchester United is reportedly interested in signing him this summer. However, Chelsea has been connected with the defender for months, and he could eventually join the London club this summer.
Rice is a big fan of Tuchel’s, and he might sign him this summer.
3. Declan Rice: Rice has been linked with Chelsea for years, but the Blues could finally sign him this summer as they try to bolster their midfield for next season. Manchester United is also said to be interested in signing the midfielder, but he is likely to return to Chelsea after leaving as a young player a few years ago.
Riyad Mahrez is also on Chelsea’s transfer target list, according to recent rumours, and he might make a surprise move to Stamford Bridge this summer.
