“Gone in the summer, No way back” – Chelsea fans worried after shocking Tuchel decision on Chelsea player in Everton defeat

The Blues fans appear to have given up hope in Romelu Lukaku, the club’s record purchase, after Thomas Tuchel failed to bring the striker on in the defeat to Everton.

However, Richarlison scored the only goal in a 1-0 defeat for the Blues at Goodison Park on Sunday. Early in the second half, the Brazilian forward took advantage of a Cesar Azpilicueta blunder.

Tuchel’s team dominated the game, with 79 percent possession and 19 shots on goal. Jordan Pickford, the Toffees’ goalkeeper, made some incredible saves to keep the visitors at bay.

Chelsea’s strikers Kai Havertz and Timo Werner were relatively anonymous during the match in Merseyside, as they squandered many great chances. Lukaku, on the other hand, was left on the bench once more.

Following the defeat, fans flocked to Twitter to vent their dissatisfaction with the Belgian forward’s predicament, who wore a despondent expression throughout the day.

Some are speculating that he is already surplus to needs at Stamford Bridge:

@siphillipssport: Clearly no way back for Lukaku at Chelsea. Being ignored in a game like this, a physical game when every other attacker has been terrible, just says that TT made his mind up on Rom months ago after the interview.

@DiStarrEnu: Tuchel refusing to use Lukaku now is a disgrace. If we lose this, please start putting some of the blame on the managing. #CFC

@CFCLamps_: @NizaarKinsella The treatment he’s getting is shocking

@Airjordyy: @NizaarKinsella He is 100% leaving this summer, Tuchel not playing him cause he won’t be here.

@Demoore90210: @NizaarKinsella Man’s leaving next season

@CFC_Fah: @NizaarKinsella Yeah he’s gone in the summer
