“Clap your hands to it, am speechless” – as Tottenham player hails Hakim Ziyech’s goal

The Blues beat Spurs 2-0 at Stamford Bridge in a dominant fashion thanks to Ziyech’s curler and Thiago Silva’s headed goal in the second half.

However, Spurs defender Matt Doherty has admitted Hakim Ziyech’s goal against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday was spectacular.

According to Doherty, when someone scores a goal as brilliant like that of Ziyech against Tottenham Hotspur, ‘you’ve got to clap your hands to it’

Despite having 74 percent of the possession of the ball in the first-half against Tottenham Hotspur, the Blues failed to find the back of the net.

However, Ziyech scored a stunner two minutes into the second-half before Thiago Silva scored eight minutes later.

The Ireland international told Spurs TV after the game: “In the first half, we limited them to some set piece headers that were comfortably over the bar and [did not let them] cut us open too much.”

“And then they managed to stick one in the top corner, which is fair enough.

“I guess when somebody does that, you’ve got to clap your hands to it.

“The disappointment for us is obviously the second goal which is the set-piece goal [that] we’ve conceded quite [a few] recently.

“It’s tough being 1-0 down, then when you conceded a set-piece [goal] like that, which was so simple, it became almost impossible [to come back from].”
