CONFIRMED: Atletico Madrid player to miss Champions League clash against Chelsea
Chelsea have received a huge boost ahead of our Champions League game against Atletico Madrid on 23rd February.
According to Spanish media outlet Marca, key Atletico Madrid defender Jose Maria Gimenez is set to miss the game against Chelsea after suffering a calf injury in training.
The defender is expected to miss 3 weeks of action, with the first-leg less than 10 days away.
The Madrid side have also seen Joao Felix and Moussa Dembele test positive for Covid but they should be available to face Chelsea.
Chelsea will play Atletico Madrid in Bucharest, Romania on 23rd February due to Covid-19 travel restrictions in Spain.
