CONFIRMED: Chelsea appoint new manager after sacking Lampard

According to latest reports this morning, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich sacked Chelsea legend Frank Lampard as Chelsea boss on Monday morning following a poor run of form that has seen the Blues drop to ninth in the Premier League.

Abramovich has wasted no time in appointing a replacement for Lampard.

According to reliable transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea have appointed former Paris Saint-Germain boss Thomas Tuchel as Chelsea’s new manager with an announcement expected to be made soon.

Romano tweeted: “Thomas Tuchel is the new Chelsea manager after Lampard sack, confirmed. Announcement expected soon. The agreement reached has been reached and here-we-go.”

Tuchel was the obvious appointment to be made as he was available after he was sacked by Paris Saint-Germain in December following a fall-out with the hierarchy of the French club.

Is Tuchel the right man for Chelsea?
