The club have agreed on a £50m deal and the Blues have no long-term concerns with the heel injury of the player. Chilwell initially expected to be out of action for a further three weeks.
The Sun, also, reported the 23-year-old could be facing nearer six weeks on the sidelines. However, Chelsea have no concerns and Chilwell is set to sign a five-year contract.
