Conte set to hijack Tuchel’s deal despite reaching agreement with player, as Tuchel told Seria A winner ‘will be a superb’ signing for Chelsea
Seems delay in Chelsea new ownership announcement would affect some of Chelsea transfer target as the Blues set to lose out another vital deal
However, Chelsea had been reported to have reached verbal agreement with Ivan Perisic, who’s a free agent at the expiration of his contract with Inter Milan this summer.
Perisic has also been in talks with Tottenham and Juventus over a free transfer, but reports claim he is now set to sign for Tottenham.
Antonio Conte is believed to have used his Inter connection to hijack the deal, while Chelsea are still in the process of completing the takeover.
According to The Telegraph, Perisic who was a key part of Conte’s title-winning Inter Milan side in 2020-21 has decided to reunite with the Italian, agreeing terms on a two-year deal with Tottenham.
The 33-year-old would only have been a good addition to the squad, but he surely wouldn’t have been a very key Chelsea player if he had signed for the club.
Tuchel told Seria A winner ‘will be a superb’ signing for Chelsea
Scott Minto has advised Chelsea to try and bring Serie A winner Fikayo Tomori back to Stamford Bridge in the summer window – claiming he would be a superb signing
It is no secret that Chelsea will need to delve into that transfer kitty in the coming transfer window as a number of players are all set to depart the club – and it means that Thomas Tuchel is eyeing up a number of possible signings
Tomori is rated as one of the best young centre-backs in the game and after the club decided to let him leave the club – he has tasted glory with AC Milan this season, winning the Scudetto as one of the Rossoneri’s most important players.
And with the fact that we will need to sign a new defender in the transfer window – Minto has opened up and advised the incoming board to make a move and try to bring him back to the Premier League
Minto told Kick Off on talkSPORT: “I think he would be superb.
“I saw him at Derby and thought he was brilliant, he was Derby’s player of the year, and he lifted himself up whenever he played in a Chelsea shirt.
“I remember him almost man-marking Salah out of the game one time at the Bridge, he was superb, and he’s come on without a doubt.“So give him another year, then bring him back. I’d say to him: ‘Look, have one more season, then do you fancy coming back to the Bridge?’”
