De Bruyne could miss UCL final after nursing THREE injuries, as Blues opens first talks with £69m player

According to reports, KEVIN DE BRUYNE has been nursing THREE injuries leading up to the Champions League final.

And that led to a tight hamstring and a minor issue with his calf in the weeks that followed.

So City chose to adopt an ultra-cautious approach with De Bruyne to ensure he is in top shape for the showdown with his old club Chelsea in Porto on Saturday night.

He believed he was ready to return at Brighton nine days ago.

But City’s medical team, along with boss Pep Guardiola, did not want to take any unnecessary risks.

That meant he went 19 days without playing a minute after starring in the Champions League last-four win over French giants Paris Saint-Germain.

But any concerns about how he would react against Everton on Sunday were blown away when he scored within 11 minutes.

KDB told the medics he was very happy with how he came through the 90 minutes and felt like he was in a good rhythm.

And that was a huge relief for Guardiola who is desperate to have his talisman in the team for their big night.

However, Reports claims the Belgium international could also miss the UCL final against Chelsea due to his injury.

Blues opens first talks with £69m player

According to several reports, Romelu Lukaku could be going back to Chelsea after the departure of Antonio Conte.

However, Gazzetta dello Sport has confirmed Conte has officially leaves the club due to financial situation at the club and Inter need to sell some players.

One of those players is Romelu Lukaku, with Chelsea interested.

In fact, The Blues are not just interested in Lukaku, according to Belgian reporter Sacha Tavolieri, The Blues have started talks with his agent over the move.

Tavolieri claims that Inter would let Lukaku go for a fee of around 80 million euros, which equates to roughly £69 million.

This fee in my opinion, sounds like it could be within reach for what Chelsea would want to pay for their new big name striker, and Lukaku certainly appears to be the most realistic target right now.

Now that Conte’s departure has been confirmed Lukaku to Chelsea is on the line and the Belgium could join Tuchel’s side this summer.
