Extremely frustrated! as Latest Kante’s injury update revealed after missing Norwich clash
Reliable Chelsea journalist Simon Johnson of The Athletic, had revealed why Kante was left out of the Norwich game.
He claimed that there was nothing to worry about.
Simon Johnson said: “Kante has some muscle tightness and has been left out of CFC’s squad as a precaution. If Chelsea were playing tomorrow he could play so nothing to be worried about.”
However, Chelsea would end up beating Norwich 7-0, and Tuchel went for his tried and trusted midfield duo Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic and left the in-form Ruben Loftus-Cheek on the bench.
Speaking just before the game, Tuchel was asked about his decision ahead of kick-off.
He told BT Sport: “He is right to feel so [frustrated] because he did excellently in the last matches but we went for N’Golo and Jorgi the combination in the Champions League and Jorgi did a fantastic match and now is not the time to take him straight out.
“It’s a tough one we went for Kova because Kova and Jorgi played a lot of matches together.
“Ruben is very likely to come on to the pitch and would have deserved to start.”
