Chelsea midfielder has impressed on a season-long loan deal at Crystal Palace and helped Patrick Vieira’s side beat Everton 4-0 to progress to the semi-final of the FA Cup and set up a clash with Chelsea.

However, The reliable Matt Woosnam of The Athletic on Sunday confirmed Conor Gallagher won’t be granted permission to play for Crystal Palace in the FA Cup semi-final clash against Chelsea.

Despite not getting on the scoresheet, Gallagher’s all-action exploits in the middle of the park proved enough to secure for the 22-year-old the official Man of the Match award as Crystal Palace beat Everton 4-0.

According to Woosnam, the FA’s rules dictates that ‘The Association will not give permission for players on loan or work experience to play against the lending Club’.

The Blues will hope to qualify for our second consecutive FA Cup final when we take on Crystal Palace at Wembley on the 16th of April.
