Fans destroy Leicester player after Chelsea win 2-1, as Blues looking to bring £80m man back to the Bridge
During the 2-1 victory over Leicester on Tuesday night at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea fans told Leicester midfielder James Maddison exactly what they thought of him.
Maddison was ineffective at Stamford Bridge and was subbed off early in the second half.
After his substitution, Chelsea fans called Maddison “sh*t Mason Mount”
Fresh reports have claimed that Chelsea have targeted a transfer deal for Romelu Lukaku after admitting defeat in their bid to sign Erling Haaland.
Thomas Tuchel is a man that knows he needs to improve certain areas of the pitch in the coming transfer window to turn this Chelsea side into Premier League winners.
And with the likes of Timo Werner, Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud all failing to impress in front of goal this season, It is pretty clear that the German coach wants to add a premium striker to the attack.
Erling Haaland has been the name most linked with a move to Stamford Bridge as the young man has become one of the most sought after players in world football, but the club will face strong competition from several rivals across Europe including Real Madrid and Manchester City.
And according Kristof Terreur, Chelsea now view Lukaku as the ‘most achievable’ target for the upcoming window and are now accelerating plans to re-sign the Belgium international.
Lukaku, 27, has been a massive hit in Italy, scoring 61 times in 91 games for Inter, and his record on the international stage is equally impressive with 58 goals in 90 appearances for FIFA’s top-ranked country.
WILL HE HEAD BACK TO CHELSEA?
Lukaku was never really given a chance to shine at Stamford Bridge, but he has made a very good career for himself away from the club, so even though Chelsea are interested, he would surely not want to go back to a club that failed to keep their promises the first time around.
It will be interesting to see which striker Tuchel gets in the summer window, but we would be very shocked to see him arrive at Chelsea.
