Iheanacho finally reveals what caused the fight between Rudiger and Leicester’s Pereira

The Blues have gone above Leicester City and into the Champions League driving seat after beating the Foxes 2-1 at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night.

In the race for the remaining two Champions League positions, Liverpool will knock Leicester City out of the top four going into the final weekend if they defeat Burnley tonight.

One of the talking points of the game was in injury time when a fight erupted between the Chelsea and Leicester City players.

The brawl began when Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger reacted to Ricardo Pereira’s late challenge on Ben Chilwell.

Kelechi Iheanacho has explained that he was trying to act as peacemaker as tempers boiled over.

“Antonio Rudiger went aggressively on Ricardo Pereira and that is what caused the fight. I was telling him to calm down,” Iheanacho told Sky Sports.

Chelsea and Leicester City could be fined by the English Football Association for failing to control their players during the game.

Iheanacho netted his 12th goal in the English top-flight against Chelsea, taking his tally to nineteen for the season.
