Chelsea have hit the transfer news in the past few’s days and things are coming up to be true for the Blues as Timo Werner deal set to be announced.
It has been hard to keep up with the reports as it appears they are now very close to announcing another new signing for the summer.
According to one of the most reliable transfer news sources in the world, Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea have a ‘verbal agreement’ with RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner to join the club this summer.
He says that Chelsea will pay his release clause and expects the deal to be announced soon. There was some belief that Liverpool will still attempt to enter the fray and hijack a deal, but Romano has pretty much put that rumour to bed as well.
This will definitely be a fantastic signing for Chelsea as manager Frank Lampard looks to build a squad of his own over the next couple of seasons looking to challenge for the title once again.
