FINALLY: Chelsea make transfer decision on Jan Oblak

Frank Lampard is desperate to replace Kepa Arrizabalaga this summer and Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak has his first choice.

However, According to Daily Star, Chelsea have made the decision to abandon a move for Oblak with Atletico Madrid only willing to let him leave if his £109million release clause is paid.

The report claims Chelsea were even willing to offer Kepa to Atletico in part-exchange to reduce the asking price for Oblak but Atletico Madrid showed no interest in the deal.

Oblak is widely regarded as one of the best keepers in the world and kept 17 clean sheets in La Liga this season.

Chelsea have reportedly turned attention to Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana and Burnley’s Nick Pope. Both players would come with significantly lower price-tags, and have each enjoyed strong seasons respectively.
