Finally confirmed, player passes Chelsea medical after agreeing five year deal, as announcement date set
According to Italian reporter Alfredo Pedulla, Kalidou Koulibaly has passed a medical for Chelsea and is set to join the team soon.
It indicates that the Senegalese is likely to follow Raheem Sterling as the second acquisition of the Todd Boehly era.
To join the team for the preseason tour, the 31-year-old is anticipated to take off for the United States on Friday morning.
Koulibaly and the Blues have reached an agreement on a five-year contract that may pay up to €10 million in bonuses annually.
For the center back, Napoli will get about €38 million plus €2 million in add-ons.
