Following Everton’s defeat, Tuchel finally reveals who he would not trust

Chelsea has only won one of their previous four league games, and the team has been losing points as a result of defensive mistakes.

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has criticised his club’s recurring defensive blunders and questioned whether fielding the lineup he did at Goodison Park was the right move.

Tuchel said: “It’s sad because we haven’t had enough points for what we want in the previous four matches, and it’s troubling.”

“In the last four games, we’ve only kept one clean sheet, and it’s far too easy to score against us.” We can’t seem to quit making individual errors. We have a hard time putting up consistent high performances. Today’s performance was adequate, but adequate is insufficient.

“We conceded in the first minute of the second half, and things are becoming tougher,” says the coach. It was completely unnecessary for us to give this goal away the way we did. If we keep giving goals away, we’ll wind up with the outcomes we’ve seen recently.

“We weren’t at the top of our game.” We had faith in the group. Perhaps we could have made more of a difference. That’s something I’m going to think about.”
