‘Forget Grealish’: Chelsea fans begs club to sign £150m world class player after Man City latest decision

Chelsea fans have been expressing their feelings about next season’s Premier League title race as Manchester City look to try and wrap up a deal for Jack Grealish

However, Manchester City have signaled their intentions by looking to retain their crown next season by agreeing a £100million deal with Aston Villa to sign Jack Grealish.

According to a report by the Daily Mail, City have been pursuing a move for the England star for a while and have now struck a deal with Villa that will see Grealish make the move to the Etihad Stadium for a record fee for an English player.

according to some reports elsewhere, Grealish is not the only big-money signing that City have their eye on the summer, with the Etihad Stadium outfit also keen on signing Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane as well. City were reported to have tabled a £100million bid for the England captain last week.

But if City do find some room within their budget to make a move for Kane on top of Grealish, it could act as a major warning for their title rivals, including Chelsea, who are yet to sign anyone during this summer’s window.

But Blues head coach Thomas Tuchel, who is yet to sign a single player since landing the job back in January, hopes to change that, ideally with the addition of Borussia Dortmund starlet Erling Haaland, who is the club’s top target this summer.

The Blues are desperate to strengthen their attacking options and believe Haaland, who enjoyed an outstanding campaign in front of goal last term, scoring 41 goals in 41 appearances, is the answer to their problems, although they have also been linked with a move for Kane themselves.

However, with City showing serious levels of intent, as well as Manchester United looking to get a deal over the line for Jadon Sancho, Chelsea’s supporters are pleading with the club to flex their muscles in this window and make a move for Haaland before it is too late.

However, a number of Chelsea fans are hoping that the club soon makes its move for Haaland in an attempt to avoid being left behind by their rivals.

Of course, a move for Haaland is going to cost the club around £150million at least, meaning it could squander their chances of strengthening other areas of the squad this summer.

However, if City successfully land Grealish and Kane this summer then Chelsea are going to be in desperate need attacking firepower to keep up with them.

The Blues have been tracking Haaland since before Christmas but have never lodged a bid for his services. Perhaps, now, they may change that if City steal a march in the window.

Below, we look close look at what some Chelsea fans have been saying in response to City’s reported big-money bid for Grealish and why they desperately need to get a deal over the line for Haaland.
