Forget Kante & Mount as Mourinho hails Chelsea midfielder as ‘one of the best in Europe’
England and Croatia will face each other in their opening group game in the European Championship on Sunday, and it’s a massive game for the two sides.
However, Jose Mourinho has hailed Croatia’s midfield three of Brozovic, Mateo Kovacic and Luka Modric.
Mourinho has warned England of their first match of Euro 2020 on Sunday and Mourinho believes the Three Lions are coming up against a formidable midfield trio whom he sees as one of the best in the competition.
“I think England is going to face probably one of the best midfields in the tournament,” Mourinho said on talkSPORT.
“[Marcelo] Brozovic, [Luka] Modric, Kovacic for me is top of the tops.
“Brozovic in England we don’t know him so well, fantastic player, very aggressive, great positioning, but at the same time good technique, good arrival in the box even coming from a more defensive position. Modric, we don’t need to say anything.”
