The Blues have already signed Hakim Ziyech from Ajax and Timo Werner from RB Leipzig this summer, to massively improve the attacking role.
However, Chelsea need more reinforcements across the park if they are going to challenge for titles next season.
The defence is an area that seriously needs to be look at, with Frank Lampard’s side leaking goals on regular basis. Meanwhile, after not signing any players for the previous two windows, this summer looks like it is about to get much busier for Chelsea.
Of course there is the chance now that Chelsea might not make Champions League football, and that could bring some financial implications due to the high revenue that this competition brings in for clubs.
Chelsea Boss Frank Lampard was asked about this in his press conference by Simon Johnson of The Athletic.
His response certainly hinted at the fact Lampard wants to bring more new players to Stamford Bridge this summer.
..already which shows a real positivity about where we want to go. We know that the club not being able to do business in the last two windows has meant that we haven't been able to bring in, we haven't been able to move players out.

That is an important thing as much as bringing players in sometimes, over the course of time to keep freshening up the squad and keeping the competitive nature of it.
