Frank Lampard singles out only two Chelsea players for praise after defeat to West Ham

What a bad performance by the Chelsea team against West Ham, as the Blues lost a massive opportunity to lay claim on third position, with Leicester City having lost to Everton earlier on.

It was a lacklustre performance from almost the entire team, with only Christian Pulisic and Willian providing some spark.

It was Willian who scored both goals for Chelsea – the first from the penalty, and the second was an amazing free-kick.

Christian Pulisic had a good game as well, as he kept troubling the Hammers defenders. It was even Pulisic that won the penalty for Chelsea, and Frank Lampard was delighted with the performance of the American.

The Chelsea manager said: “It is a big positive, he is playing well as everyone can see, plus with Willian as the two wingers, Willian got his two goals.

“Christian had a patch running up to Christmas when he was playing towards his level as well and he got injured and was out for a long time. So it is nice to see him back, fresh and hungry and playing with the quality he has. He is going to get better. He is a young player with great talent.”
