Giroud replacement to be £85 million goal-machine at Chelsea, as Frenchman’s terms agreed

Chelsea will need to complete a deal for the likes of Moussa Dembele, as reports suggest Olivier Giroud is now leaving.

There was even speculation in the media that he was all set to leave Chelsea during the January window, but with the Blues unable to sign a new striker, and Abraham picking up a serious injury, it meant that Lampard needed the Frenchman to stay put until at least the end of the season.

However, reports on the SUNDAY SUN have claimed that Giroud is all set to depart the club at the end of the season, as he has ‘already agreed personal terms’ to sign with Inter.

Inter Boss Antonio Conte is a big fan of the Frenchman and is keen to continue trying to build a side that is capable of challenging for both the seria A and Champions League titles in the coming seasons.

And that means that Chelsea may now need to step up their chase and try to sign a striker to help Tammy Abraham out next season, with the talented Dembele high up on the shopping list.

Some reports in the media even suggested that he is keen on a move to the Premier League, with the stumbling block becoming the valuation of the player, with Lyon reportedly keen to nail down £85 million for their star man, a fee that Chelsea do not want to pay.

However, with the club financially stable and with a few exits on the horizon, Lampard should have enough money to spend in the summer to try and complete his transfer deals, but maybe try and get the fee for Dembele down just a little bit.

He would be a good long-term investment, but that doesnt mean they need to spend all their money on one player.
