GOOD NEWS: Chelsea receive injury boost ahead of Southampton match

Chelsea receive injury boost ahead of Southampton match.

Chelsea’s next Premier League game is fast approaching despite the continuation of the current international break.

There are another round of games to play for some countries as Saturday approaches. But thankfully for Chelsea, another key player has returned back to Cobham ahead of the Southampton match this weekend.

Earlier on, news broke that left back Ben Chilwell had returned to Chelsea early from England duty due to a ‘flare-up of previous foot injury’.

At least, that was what we were told…

However, Chelsea fans have been given an injury boost from Matt Law of The Telegraph, who gave his update on the situation just now.

Thankfully, he describes the injury as ‘precautionary’ and says Chilwell will be assessed ahead of the Southampton game, which is positive signs he could be fit to play.

Sounds like it was wise to bring him back regardless, rather than keeping him out training with England and risking further injury.
