‘Haaland finally release statement as Lukaku set to Join Chelsea in a record deal
The German side Borussia Dortmund were insistent on not selling Haaland to Chelsea this summer, with the Blues settling for Lukaku.
However, Chelsea were linked with multiple strikers this summer, as the Blues made advances for Erling Haaland, Romelu Lukaku, Robert Lewandowski and Harry Kane.

The Norwegian was at his lethal best as he scored all the goals in Dortmund’s 3-0 win against Wehen Wiesbaden on Saturday.
After the game, Haaland didn’t seem to have any regret about missing out on a move to Chelsea, and admitted that he was happy to stay with Dortmund.
Speaking to Sport BILD after securing the matchball on Saturday, the Norwegian said: “It was nice to win, nice to score, nice to be back again. And it felt good to see all of these people. I am proud to be part of this group.”
