Jorginho finally reveals his ‘massive text message’ to Lionel Messi
The news that Lionel Messi was to leave Barcelona after 21 years at the club has rocked the football world. No one saw this coming, and no expected that the Argentine will leave the club.
Messi was briefly linked with Chelsea after Barcelona confirmed his departure, with Roman Abramovich a huge admirer of the 33-year-old.
Messi is now set to join French giants Paris Saint-Germain, and Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has joked that he had texted Messi to come to Chelsea.
Jorginho went on to reveal that he wouldn’t want to see Messi play in the Premier League but would rather have him play in a foreign league.
Jorginho told TNT Sports Brasil: “I’ve already texted him (laughs). I’m kidding, I’m not even kidding about it. If he does not want to come to Chelsea, let him go away (from the Premier League). I saw it (the departure) and I was like ‘ what happened?’. I was incredulous. I was wondering if it was fake news.”
