Hazard shares his honest opinion on Mauricio Pochettino ahead of Cup final

Eden Hazard has revealed that he appreciates the managerial know-how of Mauricio Pochettino, despite the challenges that Chelsea have faced this season.

The Blues have so far, had another topsy-turvy season, as they currently sit 10th on the Premier League table after playing 25 matches.

Some fans have repeatedly made it clear they want Pochettino replaced with another manager as a result of the inconsistencies in the team, with the club’s chances of getting European football this season continuing to diminish by each game.

In the last week or two, calls for the Argentine to be sacked have seemed to go down a bit though, thanks to impressive wins against Aston Villa and Crystal Palace, which were then followed up with a good draw with Manchester City last weekend.

And Eden Hazard, while discussing the Blues with former teammate, John Mikel Obi on the Obi One podcast, made it known that he believes Pochettino can help return Chelsea to where they once were in English football.

The Belgian said: “As a Chelsea fan, you want them to be first. You want them to win every game. I know they have a good manager, I love Mauricio Pochettino.

“I think he can bring the team back to where it should be, but the Premier League is so hard.”

Pochettino may have silenced the Chelsea boo boys for now, but the 51-year-old knows that to successfully buy himself a few more months at Stamford Bridge, he must bring home the Carabao Cup this weekend when the Blues face Liverpool in the final at Wembley.
