“He doesn’t give up, I believe he still has a future at Chelsea” – Joe Cole says of Chelsea star after brilliant performance in FA Cup victory
Chelsea forward Timo Werner has continued his fine form with another good performance in the FA Cup semi-final, as Chelsea defeated Crystal Palace 2-0.
However, Timo didn’t score a goal this time, but his overall performance was excellent, and he also assisted Mason Mount for Chelsea’s second goal.
Joe Cole was impressed by Werner’s performance, and has claimed that the German has earned himself a future at the club with his recent performances.
“It was a lovely assist for Mason,” Cole said on ITV.
“He’s always a bright spark, he always brings something to the party.
“Even when he’s not at his very very best. I think after the last three or four weeks there may be a future for him at Chelsea.
“On that role high up on the left, he threatens, he gets behind. He can be very pleased with his day’s work. That’s for sure.”
Cole added: “Timo Werner doesn’t give up. When he doesn’t score a goal he’s offering something else.”
