‘He keeps threatening me alot’ – AC Milan player says on Chelsea star after 3-0 defeat
I don’t often discuss opponents, but an AC Milan player says a Chelsea player was the hardest opponent he has ever played.
However, Rafael Leao, an AC Milan player, praised Chelsea right-back Reece James after the Champions League match on Wednesday.
Leao is known for his speed and menacing runs, but the Chelsea defender consistently neutralized him.
Leao did, however, have one excellent chance where he managed to slip past Trevoh Chalobah and James, but Kepa made a superb save to thwart the attempt.
Speaking after the game, the AC Milan forward hailed Reece James as the toughest player he has come up against.
“James is a good player, he was all over me and everywhere at the same time, he timed his runs very fine,” Leao told somtosport.
“I hardly talk about opposing players but this guy is actually the toughest I have faced I think. He scored a goal too against us and that’s something you don’t get from every defender.”
