‘He knows exactly what he is doing’ — Hasselbaink slams Liverpool player for what he did in Chelsea 2-2 draw
Chelsea and Liverpool played an outstanding game at Stamford Bridge on Sunday evening, as both teams settled for a 2-2 draw.
However, it could easily have been a win for Chelsea had Sadio Mane been sent off early in the game.
With just six seconds of the game, Mane elbowed Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta while contesting an aerial ball, and the Senegal international was only issued a yellow card.
Chelsea legend Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink believes Mane should have been sent off his elbow on Azpilicueta.
“I think its reckless, I think it is a red card for me,” Hasselbaink told Sky Sports.
“He knows exactly what he is doing. It is an elbow, I think if you give the yellow then you had to give the red.”
