‘He’s a lovely finisher, I hope he plays for Chelsea next season’ — Glen Hoddle hails the ‘new Diego Costa’

As we all know Chelsea striker Armando Broja has been in outstanding form for his loan club Southampton this season.

However, the 20-year-old put in another impressive showing in midweek as Southampton came from behind to beat Tottenham 3-2 on their own turf.

The Albanian scored a wonderful goal with a first-time finish to make it 1-1 in the first-half against Spurs, which marked his eighth goal of the season across all competitions.

The Chelsea loanee wasn’t always first choice for the Saints, but his quality has shone through as he fought his way to become Ralph Hasenhuttl’s main man upfront.

Former Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur player and manager, Glen Hoddle was in the studio for this game, and the Spurs legend was in awe of the 20-year-old Chelsea striker.

Hoddle told BT Sport: “It’s a lovely instinctive finish from Broja. He’s looked dangerous Broja all day. He’s such a good striker. You wonder if he’s going to go back to Chelsea at one stage and become a Chelsea player for next season”
