According to latest reports, West Ham midfielder Declan Rice has heaped praise on Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovavic.
However, the Croatian international has blossomed into being one of the finest midfielders in the world, and he’s one of Thomas Tuchel’s key men.
Kovavic’s ability to drive with the ball is top notch, and West Ham midfielder Declan Rice has admitted that it’s even more difficult when up against the Croatia international.
Kovavic makes Rice’s top five midfielders, and when asked to name his top five midfielders by BT Sport, the Hammers man said: “Mateo Kovavic… he is incredible. You don’t really realise how good he is until you play against him.
“He can take the ball in tight areas, his dribbling ability is incredible, he can find a pass, he can control games, fairly quick as well. He’s always been a tough opponent to play against.”
