“He’s at the sunset of his career, let him go ” – Leboeuf reveals why Tuchel should let Chelsea player leave after latest club decision

It’s seems that Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger will remain at the club beyond this season.

However, the German international contract expires at the end of the season and the German international has so far refused to extend his Chelsea contract amid reports claiming Real Madrid are ready to offer him £400,000-a-week contract.

Former Chelsea defender Frank Leboeuf believes maybe it’s time Chelsea let Rudiger leave and plan for the future.

LeBoeuf told ESPN: “Since Tuchel took charge he is the man.”

“He is better than anybody else. He is the symbol of the club. He does the job.

“So, we are not in the dressing room, we don’t know how it works and if Tuchel and the rest of the staff thinks that the future could be for Rudiger or if he is at the sunset of his career.

“So, maybe it’s time for the club to let him go.

“He’s served the club very well. He did what he had to do and if he decides to go, so long and thank you.”
