‘He’s not a wrong player’- Kai Havertz reveals why Chelsea should sign €120m-rated world class player

Tottenham striker Harry Kane is being touted as a key target for Chelsea, but it’s yet to be seen if Chelsea can beat Manchester City to the signing of the Spurs striker.

Kai Havertz who often plays as a false nine for both club and country, has now given his verdict on Kane, whom he’d face in the Euro 2020 round of 16 clash at Wembley on Tuesday.

Kane has a very good all round game which see him not only score many goals but he also gives out many assists. Kane’s game involves dropping deep and getting involved in the play.

Havertz has rated Kane highly but doesn’t see him as a traditional number nine.

“He is a top striker who is not a classic and not a wrong number nine,” said the talented German.

“He’s something in between. He picks up the balls from behind, plays deadly passes to the front and is brutally good in the box.

“He has a great shot on goal and a good eye for the spaces. He’s difficult to grab for a central defender because he runs deep, comes short and can shoot.

“It is not for nothing that he has scored and prepared the most goals in the Premier League this season.”
