“He’s not dull like him” – Paolo Di Canio reveals Chelsea player is too dull for Tuchel Chelsea

Chelsea new striker Romelu Lukaku has scored four goals in all competitions for Chelsea this season but is yet to score in his last six games for the club.

Paolo Di Canio has claimed that Lukaku is too dull for a striker and shouldn’t be compared with the energetic Nigerian international Victor Osimhen who’s currently doing well for Napoli.

Paolo Di Canio said to Sky Calcio Club show,: “I heard (Giuseppe) Bergomi comparing (Napoli striker Victor) Osimhen and Lukaku. But Osimhen has a different spirit, he’s not dull like him.

“When the difficulty increased he scored no goals in five games with Chelsea. And it’s not Chelsea’s fault, they are first (in the table) even without his goals.”

Di Canio then likened Lukaku with Fernando Llorente and called the Chelsea man a functional player.

Be added: “Lukaku does not score. Lukaku is a functional player, as Llorente was in (Antonio) Conte’s Juve.

“Even if Lukaku is stronger than Llorente. Lukaku is functional to a certain type of game.”

These are only comments from naysayers. Lukaku has shown that he can be counted upon. He only needs his teammates to keep supplying him with adequate passes.
