Tuchel will never make such decision! Gary Neville reveals why Tuchel is better than Solskjaer after shock Man Utd 4-2 defeat to Leicester City

Manchester United have been struggling, with things getting worse with a 4-2 defeat to Leicester City over the weekend.

However, Manchester United legend Gary Neville has revealed his shock at Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s decision to start Harry Maguire against Leicester City.

The Manchester United skipper had been injured since last month but was rushed into action by Solskjaer and he put in a terrible display at the King Power Stadium.

Gary Neville has labelled Solskjaer’s choice as the biggest mistake he has seen him make as Manchester United boss and claimed that Blues boss Thomas Tuchel won’t make such a mistake.

Gary Neville believes Solskjaer should have fielded Eric Bailly beside Victor Lindelof and pointed to Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel who used the likes of Malang Sarr and Trevoh Chalobah in the absence of Antonio Rudiger and Thiago Silva.

He said on Sky Sports Monday Night Football: “I watched Thomas Tuchel after the game give Malang Sarr and Trevoh Chalobah starts [against Brentford] and the game and the belief for Chelsea so it can happen and I think Eric Bailly should have played alongside Lindelof.”

“That was the biggest mistake that happened on Saturday because I think if Harry Maguire had been fit and anywhere near – someone who has been a brilliant player for United for the last two years – then Manchester United wouldn’t have had the problems they had.

“The first problem the manager had was definitely selecting Harry Maguire.

“He’d not played for four weeks and he was nowhere near it.”

It feels so great to see a rival hail your manager’s decision. It only shows how well the Blues are doing under Thomas Tuchel.
