‘He’s not mentally strong enough for Tuchel team’ – William Gallas told Chelsea to avoid Man Utd star move

According to latest reports via The Telegraph had claimed at one time that Paul Pogba is open to joining Chelsea should he leave Manchester United this summer.

However, The Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is in the final few months of his contract as a Manchester United player.

The France international hasn’t really lived up to expectations at Old Trafford and will leave at the end of the season.

Former Premier League star Darren Bent, had also claimed that Chelsea need a midfielder who can score goals.

Bent told talkSPORT: “I do think they (Chelsea) need another centre midfielder. I think they need a midfielder that can score goals.”

When asked if Pogba would suit Chelsea, he replied: “When Paul Pogba plays alongside Kante he looks like a completely different player, if they were to go sign him…wow.”

Meanwhile former Chelsea defender has called Pogba a mentally weak player.

Gallas told Genting Casino: “It looks like he has [played his last game for Man United] because he’s had a difficult season, so that’s why a lot of people are criticising him.”

“I know he was injured, but before he was inconsistent and we ask players for consistency, especially when you have that ability in the team like Pogba has.

“To play in the Premier League is really difficult. It’s really tough, there is a lot of intensity and you have to repeat your performance almost every game, it’s not easy.

“Some players can do it because they’re strong in their mind. Some players can’t do it, they play one game and their level will be very high and then in the two next games they’ll be average.

“For the quality that Pogba has, you need to be consistent so that’s why people are a little angry with him.

“He’s not [mentally] strong enough and his performances show he’s not strong enough to be consistent for one season.”
