According to reports, Chelsea is interested in signing Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli as the team continues to look for defensive reinforcements in advance of the upcoming season.
Antonio Rudiger just joined Real Madrid on a free transfer, leaving the Thomas Tuchel-coached team in need of a dependable center-back. Andreas Christensen [by Mundo Deportivo], Cesar Azpilicueta [through Metro], and Marcos Alonso [via Metro] are defensive rock stars who are also reportedly on their way to Barcelona during the current transfer window.
Matthijs de Ligt of Juventus and Jules Kounde of Sevilla have both been linked to Chelsea on a permanent basis since the month of June began [via Calciomercato] and The Sun, respectively].
