‘He’s the one Chelsea is missing’- John Terry believes Chelsea is incomplete without player
Chelsea legend John Terry has hailed the signing of Romelu Lukaku and believes that the Chelsea team now seem complete with the addition of the Belgian international.
Terry was at the club when Lukaku was signed up as an 18-year-old teenager from Anderlecht, but it didn’t work out for the young striker at the time.
After spells with Everton, Manchester United and Inter Milan, Lukaku has returned to the club and is looking a beast of a player.
Terry has backed his former teammate to do well at Chelsea this time around.
“I think they’re looking very good, he’s the one big one missing. I know they won the Champions League last season but probably just missed out [on the Premier League] overall because of that, I think bringing him in he kind of gives that, he’s shown that already,” Terry told Sky Sports.
“He’s got something to prove at Chelsea too, it didn’t work out for him last time, I know Rom and he’s very determined to do well. Chelsea are looking great at the minute and I think they can give Manchester City a push.”
