Hodgson blasts Chelsea’s transfer decision on Zaha

Chelsea have been linked to sign Palace star Wilfried Zaha after the transfer ban has been lift but the blues decline the player due to his huge price tag.

However, Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson is surprised Crystal Palace do not have more clubs banging on their door with big-money offers for Wilfried Zaha.

The Blues have been strongly linked with the Ivory Coast international in the past but made no move for the winger this summer despite the winger revealing he wants to leave Crystal Palace for a top club.

Paris Saint-Germain, Borussia Dortmund and Monaco have all shown interest in signing Zaha in the past but are also yet to submit a bid for the winger.

Asked about the ongoing saga about Zaha’s future, Hodgson said: “It is a little bit frustrating. It would be nice to have Wilf with us without this cloud that hangs over him – is he really going to stay with us or are we going to have to wave goodbye to him?

“I am surprised that we do not get more people knocking on our door who are willing to pay a sensible price for him because I think he is such a good player.”

Is not by force Hodgson we don’t need him or Chelsea fans do you need him? !
