“How should we be in it?, would be ‘stupid to think’ – Angry Tuchel sends strong message to Premier League after Brighton draw

Following Chelsea’s 1-1 draw against Brighton, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has send some angry message to the Premier League for not calling off some of his matches due to Covid cases in the team.

However, the Blues have recorded seven Covid cases and the Premier League insist not to call off some their matches.

The Blues boss believes this will surely affects Chelsea’s title race as we keep losing players.

Thomas Tuchel told the press when asked if Chelsea are still in the title race after failing to beat Brighton: “How should we be in it? We have seven Covid cases.”

“We have five or six players out for six or more weeks. How should we compete in a title race?

“Everyone else who has a full squad, everybody in training has the full power to come through this league.

“We would be stupid to think we can do it out of Covid and injuries and just play.”

Chelsea are currently second in the league table, eight points adrift of Man City.

Liverpool are hot on our heels: they are a point behind us but have a game in hand.

The Blues failed to beat Brighton as the Seagulls scored a late equaliser through Welbeck.
