‘How we’re responsible for Tuchel sacking’ – Jorginho finally reveals dressing room problems

Chelsea vice captain JORGINHO says Chelsea players tried their best to deliver success for Thomas Tuchel but admitted “it wasn’t working anymore”.

The Italy midfielder was one of the stand-out stars for Tuchel’s Blues during his 19 months in charge at Stamford Bridge.

It was a surprise for everyone. What has been said between the players will stay there,” Jorginho said when asked about Thomas Tuchel‘s departure.

“Now, we have games coming. Life is quick, we don’t have much time to think again and again.

“We tried to do what we could and where it could go better. Unfortunately it wasn’t working, the challenge now is to rebuild confidence.

“It was his feeling in that moment, he said that to us as well,” the Italian added when quizzed about Tuchel’s comments about Chelsea’s ‘weak mentality’.

“Of course, we are a team,” Jorginho said when asked if Chelsea players feel responsible for Tuchel’s sacking.

“It is not one person responsible for what happened. We are the team as a group on the pitch so of course we are responsible for what happened.”

Thomas Tuchel was fired last Wednesday following a 1-0 defeat against Dinamo Zagreb. The next day Graham Potter was announced as the new Chelsea manager.
