Huge blow for Lampard as Eden Hazard replacement rules out joining Chelsea

Chelsea lost a spark in our attack following Eden Hazard’s transfer to Real Madrid last summer and Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has always admitted he was keen on signing a replacement for the Belgian star.

Lampard’s desire to sign a replacement for Hazard has suffered a huge blow after Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho reportedly ruled out joining Chelsea.

According to Daily Mail, Sancho will decide between joining Manchester United and Real Madrid during the summer transfer window.

The 20-year-old forward, valued at £100million or more, is expected to leave Borussia Dortmund once the transfer window opens this summer following the coronavirus shutdown.

Sancho is the hottest property in European football after scoring 17 goals and contributing 19 assists for Dortmund in the Bundesliga and the Champions League this season.

Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke admitted last month that Sancho could leave the club at the end of the season.
