“I always rely on them”- Tuchel reveals two Chelsea players that are always reliable
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has hailed our midfield duo of Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic as being always reliable.
Asked how key they were to Wednesday’s 2-0 victory over Porto, Tuchel told Chelsea TV: “Yeah they worked hard – this is very reliable with the two guys.
“Very reliable all the time, they were very helpful in the build-up and then in the second half I could feel their presence a little bit more.
“You know Kova is always a hard worker, he sometimes suffers a little bit in the precision of his offensive passes because he works so hard and is a big, big helper for everybody.
“Jorgi is a bit more the strategic guy who helps us in the build-up and he makes good decisions and helps us to escape the pressure.
“So they are a good fit and in the end to have NG [Kante] on the bench and to finish with all three midfielders this helps us a lot because the guys have the experience and the quality.
“They had a bit of a tough start today, it was tough for them in the beginning to implement themselves and to control the midfield against a strong Porto side.
“But from minute after minute they did it better and they controlled the match for us. They did what was needed.”
