“I can’t take it, despite his incredible form” – Ian Wright hits at England boss for ignoring in-form Chelsea player
Ahead of another International break, Arsenal legend Ian Wright is unimpressed with England boss Gareth Southgate for ignoring in-form Chelsea loanee Conor Gallagher in his latest England squad.
Ex-Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori was also ignored despite being a regular for Italian side AC Milan.
“I’ve been there where form is ignored and certain players are guaranteed spots!!” Wright wrote on Twitter.
“It’s hard to take because there is nothing else you can do.
“I don’t know what Tomori needs to do get in and get a chance. Cresswell, Bowen, White, Gallagher will all be gutted.”
