Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel beats Pep Guardiola three times last season, one in the Premier League, the other one in Fa Cup semi-final and lastly beats him to win the Champions league final.
Well, to me beating Pep the fourth time would have been great and to stop all this pundits with their noise.
However, Former Liverpool and Manchester City midfielder Didi Hamann has claimed Chelsea can’t win the Premier League this season.
According to Hamann, the best Chelsea can get in the Premier League this season is third place. Hamann also believes Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola gifted Chelsea the Champions League last season.
“I don’t think they are on the same level as Liverpool and Manchester City,” he told Goal’s German edition.
“You can win the Champions League if you don’t have the best team. But the championship you can’t. That’s why third place would be the highest of feelings for Chelsea.
“Thomas Tuchel also benefitted in the final from the madness Pep Guardiola put on, playing without a defensive midfielder.
“But they were 25 (editor’s note: it was 19) points behind Manchester City in the league last season and have also been taught a lesson by them recently.”
