Chelsea have been linked with a move for Brentford’s Algerian winger Said Benrahma for a while now.
The 24-year-old is enjoying an impressive season for the Bees in the Championship, helping them push for a playoff finish in the second division.
On Saturday, the Algerian international provided further evidence of why Chelsea should make a move for him.
In Brentford’s first game upon resumption of the Championship against fellow promotion hopefuls Fulham, Benrahma scored a late goal to break the deadlock, before setting up his teammate Emiliano Marcondes for a second in the injury time, leading his club to a critical win.
The Algerian now has a tally of 11 goals and 9 assists in 35 matches across all competitions for the season. Following his clutch performance against the Cottagers, Chelsea fans took to Twitter in large numbers, urging the club to land Benrahma in the summer.
